Pines Bible Camp began in 1963 as a non-profit society whose goal, still to this day, is to provide a quality Summer Bible Camp for kids and families of all ages. The pines is managed and run by the Executive Director who is under the organizational oversight of a local board. As Pines grew it joined the B.C. Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches in 1992. This organization gives oversight and accountability to Pines along with other camps in B.C.
Vision for Pines Bible Camp:
A Place to Grow
Our Purpose:
Our purpose is to provide a fun, active outdoor program for kids, youth and adults in the beautiful setting that God provides. We want to encourage people to love God, who created such beauty in nature, and to examine the Christian faith in a non-threatening atmosphere. It is our goal that each camper will begin or build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Core Values for Pines Bible Camp:
Bible
It is the Word of God and holds truth and relevance for life today. We desire for everyone to have the opportunity to explore this truth in a non-threatening atmosphere.
Spirituality
Everyone is created by God to have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ and this spirituality is the foundation for personal wholeness. We desire that everyone would experience the difference that a relationship with Jesus can make.
Family
It is an important benefit and support for everyone’s life and should be a place where one receives nurture and acceptance. We desire that families would have the opportunity to grow closer through their experience at Pines
Relationships
It enriches a person’s life with love, compassion, learning, safety and meaning both with Jesus Christ and with each other. We desire that everyone would have a fun and meaningful experience through all our programs.
Teaching and Learning
It is an important arena where each one can gain knowledge, skills, and new experiences, in many facets of life including those that are spiritual, educational and relational. We desire that everyone would experience growth as a result of being at Pines.
